Pontoons

Our fiberglass pontoons are manufactured to a stringent Quality Assurance program. For those boats that are requested to be built to survey there is water tight bulkheads installed at 1200mm centres. For all other pontoons there are two water tight bulkheads per pontoon. 

Fresh water storage capacity can be up to 4000 litres per vessel with a sullage capacity of 2000 litres. All fill points and suction points are provided with the vessel.

Structure

All vessels have a floor and wall framework made completely of marine grade aluminium. 

The infill panels in our standard vessels are premium grade hoop pine plywood and all internal flooring is premium grade hardwood plywood. Internal timber is coated with a clear polyurethane finish. 

Our decking timbers are Australian hardwoods that are fastened using stainless steel fixings.

Electrical

The charging system has 4 X 150 watt solar panels mounted on the roof. There are 2 x PL 40 solar regulators. If power is low or when driving there is an option for a 24 volt quick charge alternator to be adapted to the flywheel of the starboard motor. Alternatively a generator or shore power can be used.

The vessel runs a 24 volt house system that has availability of nearly 1500 amps in battery storage.

All wiring is installed to Australian Standards.

Appliances

2500 watt Raditronics sinewave inverter/ charger.

24 volt 220 litre Kelvinator fridge. This can run 24 hours per day; even when you are not on the vessel.

Bosch instantaneous auto ignition hot water heater located in bathroom and vented through roof.

Smev 12 volt ignition cookplate and underbench oven.

Deluxe saltwater flush and macerator toilet.

Plumbing

Jabsco 24 volt pressure pump.

Water filling is from external storage cupboard. Also availability for externally fed water supply to by-pass pump.

Gas service bottles are in a low storage cupboard on starboard side. All pipework is installed to Australian Standards and supplies hot water heater, oven and cooktop. An external fitting can be adapted for a BBQ if required.

Propulsion

The houseboat is powered by 2 x 25hp Mercury 4-stroke outboards with power start and power trim. The starboard motor has alternator adapted to it for house battery charging. They use 6 litres per hour each at 4000RPM. The outboard brackets are made from alloy and have an incorporated fuel tank.
